In diesem kurz gehaltenen Tafsīr wird der Qurʼān in einfacher, klarer Sprache entsprechend dem Glauben der Sunniten erläutert. Der Autor konzentriert sich dabei auf die wesentlichen Aussagen der Verse, d. h., er erklärt den Qurʼān durch den Qurʼān. Indem er weitestgehend auf die Erwähnung von Überlieferungen verzichtet, geht er der Gefahr, unauthentische Ḥadīṯe zu verwenden, von vorneherein aus dem Weg.
